LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES/FOOD:
​NEWTON FREEDGE:
A free, 24/7 outdoor refrigerator and pantry, the Freedge provides free food and personal supplies to anyone who needs them. The Freedge is located at 420 Watertown Street -in the parking lot of Central Drapery and Dry Cleaning in Nonantum. Also at the Freege location is a Welcome Home box of small housewares that are available to all who need them.

Newton’s Resource Recovery Center Swap Shop is located at 
115 Rumford Ave., Auburndale and is open on Fridays AND Saturdays.

Newton residents can drop off usable items, and take home other items for free. New items are added each week. The Swap Shop will be open through the Fall on Fridays and Saturdays, from 7:30am-1:30pm. See details here.
